By Vicedex, an independent GTA 6 reference. How we check and report a mistake.

This page takes the questions people ask most about GTA 6, in search engines and in chatbots, and answers each one with a verdict. Each answer starts with the verdict, links the source, and points to the Vicedex guide that covers the subject in depth.

How we judge a claim

Five verdicts.

• Confirmed. Rockstar or Take-Two said it, or the official store listing shows it.
• Reported. A named person at Rockstar or Take-Two said it on the record, and a named outlet reported it. We attribute it. It is not an official figure.
• Not announced. Nothing official either way. It may still happen. Nobody official has said so.
• False. Contradicted by an official source.
• GTA V only. True of Grand Theft Auto V. Nothing confirms it for VI.

We read every source ourselves, and each answer gives the date we read it. If we could not find a source for a claim, the claim is not on this page.

Only on a souvenir poster. There is still no in-game map. On 24 September 2026 Rockstar opened pre-orders for The Goodtime State: Vice City Collection, a merchandise box that ships on 19 November. One of its eleven items is a double-sided souvenir poster with a map of Leonida on the back. That printed poster is the only official map so far, and the product photo shows the map side only partly. Before that, what circulated as "the full map" traced to a leaker who posted images on 18 August 2026 claiming to show it. Kotaku reported that uploads were being removed after reports from the copyright owner, and PC Gamer noted the map art looked too simple to be the final game. What we will not cover

Some of the most repeated GTA 6 claims trace back to leaked or embargoed material. We do not repeat what they show, and we do not confirm or deny it, so their absence from this page is deliberate. Where a leak is itself the news, as with the map, we say only that it happened and link the reporting. If Rockstar publishes the same information officially, it comes onto this page with the official source.

We also leave out anything we could not trace to a source we could open and read. A claim with no source is not a claim we can check.
