Is there a GTA 6 money cheat?

No. Rockstar has not announced a money cheat for Grand Theft Auto VI, and no code can be verified before the game launches on 19 November 2026. Grand Theft Auto V had no money cheat in story mode either.

What is confirmed for GTA VI

Rockstar has not announced a cheat system for VI, so it has announced no money cheat. Its game page lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and a launch on 19 November 2026, and does not mention cheats. Neither does the launch date post on the Newswire.

A money figure that does appear on the game page belongs to Grand Theft Auto V. Rockstar describes the free month of GTA+ that comes with a digital pre-order as "a recurring monthly GTA$500,000 deposit into your GTA Online character's bank account" (Rockstar Games). That is GTA Online in GTA V, not a mode of VI. See our fact check.

Take-Two's chief executive, Strauss Zelnick, spoke about spending at the company's annual shareholder meeting on 17 September 2026. Inven Global and GTABoom both report him saying that, because GTA 6 launches as a single player experience on two major platforms, there is "no recurrent consumer spending anticipated" with regard to this launch. That is about spending, not cheat codes, and his words apply to the launch only.

What GTA V did

This section is about Grand Theft Auto V, not VI. None of it is confirmed for VI.

Story mode had no money cheat

PCGamesN's cheat guide says there is no money cheat, in the story campaign or in GTA Online (PCGamesN). GTABoom's cheats FAQ answers the question with a flat no (GTABoom). GTABase's guide for PS5, PS4 and PS3 says there is no unlimited money cheat in single player or in GTA Online (GTABase). None of the three quotes Rockstar on why.

Where the money came from instead

Story mode. The Grand Theft Auto Wiki describes Lester's Assassinations as five story missions, each a chance to make a large income from the stock market, and advises buying shares before taking the mission. GTABase has a guide to the same missions titled as a way to make 2 billion dollars from the stock market. It advises keeping separate save slots before an assassination or an investment, so you can reload if you miss the peak (GTABase). Both are in-game systems, not cheats.

GTA Online. The wiki describes Shark Cards, titled Cash Cards on its site, as a microtransaction in GTA Online. Each card offers a different amount of in-game money (GTA$). Money could be bought there, and no code unlocked it.

If a video claims a GTA 6 money glitch

A glitch is a fault in the finished game. Rockstar has set that game for 19 November 2026. Until then, a post that gives steps for a "money glitch" cannot have been checked by a player on a retail copy. We leave such claims out.
