GTA 6 invincibility cheat: what is known

Nothing is confirmed. Rockstar has not announced cheats for Grand Theft Auto VI, so it has announced no invincibility cheat and no god mode. In Grand Theft Auto V, invincibility lasted five minutes and had to be entered again.

What is confirmed for GTA VI

Rockstar's game page lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and a launch on 19 November 2026. It does not mention cheats. Neither does the launch date post on the Newswire, the pre-order post of 24 June 2026, or Rockstar's platforms support article.

So whether VI has a cheat that makes you invincible, how long it would last, and whether it would cost you trophies are all not announced. The trophy question has its own page: do GTA 6 cheats disable trophies.

What GTA V did

This section is about Grand Theft Auto V, not VI. None of it is confirmed for VI.

Invincibility lasted five minutes

PCGamesN says the cheat made you immune to all damage, and that the only downside was that it lasted five minutes (PCGamesN). GTABase lists what it covered: bullets, explosions, fall damage and going underwater (GTABase). The Grand Theft Auto Wiki also gives five minutes, and says a cheat could not be stored on the phone, so one that wore off had to be entered again (Grand Theft Auto Wiki).

NME lists the same cheat as "Invincibility / God Mode" (NME). "God mode" is NME's label, not Rockstar's.

A separate cheat refilled health and armour

PCGamesN says the health cheat gave full body armour and maximised health (PCGamesN). GTABase and the wiki add that it also repaired your vehicle if you were in one (GTABase, Grand Theft Auto Wiki).

None of the cheat lists we read includes a cheat for permanent unlimited health. Invincibility was the nearest, and it ran out.

Where it did not work

GTABoom's FAQ lists invincibility among the cheats the game refused on a mission (GTABoom). PCGamesN states that none of the cheats work in GTA Online (PCGamesN). Rockstar's support page says the game also refuses some cheats in other parts of the game (Rockstar Support).

Trophies were switched off

The wiki says activating a cheat disabled achievements, trophies and accomplishments for the rest of the game session, with no cheat singled out. GTABoom says the same. Rockstar's support page says you could still save, but achievements were temporarily disabled. So the rule applied to both health cheats above. How GTA V took a code is on how to enter cheats in GTA 6.
