Do GTA 6 cheats disable trophies?

Rockstar has not said, because it has not said whether Grand Theft Auto VI has cheats. In Grand Theft Auto V, entering a cheat switched off trophies and achievements for the rest of that game session.

What is confirmed for GTA VI

Nothing. Rockstar's game page and its platforms support article mention neither cheats nor trophies nor achievements. Nor does the pre-order post of 24 June 2026.

The trophy and achievement list is not published either. Our page for it, GTA 6 trophies and achievements, fills when the list can be read on a retail copy.

What GTA V did

This section is about Grand Theft Auto V, not VI. It is a precedent, not a prediction.

• Awards were off for the session. The Grand Theft Auto Wiki says activating a cheat disabled all achievements, trophies and accomplishments for the duration of the game session (Grand Theft Auto Wiki). NME says the same about achievements (NME).
• You could still save. Rockstar's support page says saving was allowed with cheats enabled, but achievements were temporarily disabled (Rockstar Support).
• Reloading reset the cheats. The same page says reloading a save or rebooting the console resets all cheats and returns the game to its previous state.
• Missions were capped. The Grand Theft Auto Wiki says a mission attempt made with a cheat active was restricted to a bronze medal. NME says cheats stopped mission ratings above bronze.

We have not found a Rockstar statement on whether a save made while a cheat was on keeps awards locked after you reload it, so we do not say.

What this means for a trophy run

On GTA V's rules, a code and a trophy run did not belong in the same sitting. If GTA VI follows the same pattern, you would want to know before you press anything. We cannot tell you that yet.
