GTA 6 cheats: verified codes only

No GTA 6 cheat codes exist yet. Vicedex publishes a code only after entering it on a retail copy, with a source and a verification time.

Checked 3 October 2026. We update this page when Rockstar publishes more.

Why every other list is empty or invented

Grand Theft Auto VI is not out. Rockstar has it set for Thursday 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S (Rockstar Newswire). Nobody outside Rockstar has a retail copy, so nobody has entered a code, so no code can have been checked.

Rockstar has not announced a cheat system for VI at all. The official Grand Theft Auto VI site says nothing about cheats, codes or how they would be entered. Until the game ships, "not announced" is the whole of the truth.

Search for GTA 6 cheats today and you will find full tables of codes. They are made up. Some are GTA V codes with the game name changed. Some are plausible button strings that nobody has pressed. They rank because a table looks more useful than a blank page.

GTA 6 cheats by type

These are the cheats people look for first, going by the searches for Grand Theft Auto V. None is confirmed for VI. Each page sets out what is known and what GTA V did, labelled as GTA V.

• GTA 6 money cheat: cash codes and money glitches.
• GTA 6 invincibility cheat: god mode, health and armour.
• GTA 6 weapons cheat: guns, ammo and explosive rounds.
• GTA 6 car cheats: cars, motorcycles, helicopters and planes.
• GTA 6 wanted level cheat: raising and lowering the stars.
• GTA 6 phone cheats: numbers dialled on the in-game phone.

The rules around a code have their own pages: how to enter cheats in GTA 6, whether cheats disable trophies and whether cheats work online.

How codes worked in GTA V

This section is about Grand Theft Auto V, not VI. It is here because it is the only evidence of how Rockstar does this on console, and because it tells you what to expect on launch night. None of it is confirmed for VI.

GTA V had two entry methods on console. The first was a button sequence pressed on the controller during normal gameplay, with the game unpaused. The second was a phone number dialled in the character's in game mobile phone (IGN).

One button sequence, as an example

Give Parachute, in GTA V. On PlayStation: Left, Right, L1, L2, R1, R2, R2, Left, Left, Right, L1. On Xbox: Left, Right, LB, LT, RB, RT, RT, Left, Left, Right, LB. Sequences were long on purpose, so you could not trigger one by accident.

One phone number, as an example

Invincibility, in GTA V, was 1-999-724-654-5537. The numbers spelled words on a phone keypad, which is why they ran long: eleven digits for some, fourteen for this one.

Codes cost you your awards

Two rules mattered more than any individual code. GTA V cheats worked in Story Mode only, never in GTA Online (IGN). And entering a cheat disabled achievements and trophies for the rest of that game session, so a trophy run and a code did not belong in the same sitting (Grand Theft Auto Wiki). We will mark every VI code we verify with whether it is trophy safe.

How fast GTA V codes were found

Quickly. The Grand Theft Auto Wiki page for GTA V cheats was created at 20:15 on 15 September 2013, two days before the game reached shops on 17 September, by an editor who wrote that it should be deleted if it counted as a game ruining leak. Fifteen edits later, by 23 September, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 tables had been filled out (Grand Theft Auto Wiki revision history). On that precedent, expect VI codes to start appearing within days of 19 November 2026, and expect most of the earliest lists to be wrong.

What verified means here

• Someone entered the code on a retail copy of the game. Not a preview build, not a video, not another site.
• We check it on PS5 and on Xbox Series X|S where we have both. Where we have one, the table says so.
• The contributor is credited by the name they give us.
• We record the time the code was verified and keep it with the code.
• Where a code came from a public place, we link it. Where we found it ourselves, the source column says so.
• If we publish something wrong, tell us and we will correct it. The correction form is at /submit/.

When this page fills

1. 3 Oct 2026
Today. Nothing to publish. The counters read 00.
2. 19 Nov 2026
Launch day. Verification starts as soon as retail copies unlock and codes start appearing.

This page and the Vicedex app read the same feed, so a code that lands in one lands in the other. If you would rather be told than keep checking, the launch email sign up is at the bottom of the homepage.
