GTA 6 phone cheats: numbers to dial

Rockstar has not announced cheats for Grand Theft Auto VI, so there are no numbers to dial. In Grand Theft Auto V, cheats could be dialled on the in-game phone on the newer versions, but not on PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.

What is confirmed for GTA VI

Rockstar's game page lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and a launch on 19 November 2026. It does not mention cheats. We found no Rockstar page that says the player has a phone with a dial pad.

Phones do appear in Rockstar's pictures. One caption describes Raul Bautista on the phone while someone sits at two computer monitors behind him. Another describes a crowd that holds up phones while the Real Dimez dance on a car. Those are scenes. Neither says what a phone does in play.

What GTA V did

This section is about Grand Theft Auto V, not VI. None of it is confirmed for VI.

How a number worked

PCGamesN says the numbers are "1-999-" followed by digits that match the phone dial pad. Its example: "1-999-7246-545-537" spells out the invincibility code "1-999-PAINKILLER". That is the only number on this page. NME gives the same rule: spell out the word on the number pad, with "1-999-" before it.

How to open the phone is on how to enter cheats in GTA 6. GTABoom's FAQ adds the dial key: X on Xbox, Square on PlayStation and Spacebar on PC.

Which versions had phone cheats

So the PS4 and PS5 searches have a plain answer: yes, a number could be dialled. PCGamesN's guide covers PlayStation 4 and 5 and Xbox One and Series X, and lists the numbers.

Which cheats were phone only

The Grand Theft Auto Wiki says GTA V cheats could be entered as a button combination or via the phone. It marks two as cellphone-only: Director Mode and Black Cellphones. PCGamesN lists both with a phone number.

In GTA V, GTABoom lists Director Mode among eight cheats refused during missions, with the message "Cheat denied: Not available on a mission or pastime."

Cheats could not be saved

In GTA V, the wiki says, the player could not store cheats on the phone, so a cheat that wore off had to be entered again. GTABoom answers the question directly: no, cheats cannot be saved, into the phone or another menu. A cheat was not a contact.

The one shortcut in the FAQ is the redial key on the phone's keypad, which GTABoom gives as the asterisk. The FAQ also says reloading or restarting the game removes any active cheats. Rockstar's support page says reloading a save or restarting the console resets GTA V cheats too (Rockstar Support).

A dialled GTA V cheat cost the same as any other. The wiki says activating a cheat disables trophies and achievements for the game session. See do GTA 6 cheats disable trophies. Related: the wanted level cheat and vehicle cheats.
