Vice City in GTA 6: what Rockstar has confirmed

Vice City is the main city of Grand Theft Auto VI, set in the fictional American state of Leonida, and Rockstar Games has published a short official description of it plus four named parts inside it.

What Rockstar says it is

Vice City is the first entry in the Places part of Only in Leonida on Rockstar's official Grand Theft Auto VI site. Rockstar heads it Everything in Excess and calls the city "the sun and fun capital of America".

The description says the city gathers the glamour, the hustle and the greed of America into one place, and that every neighbourhood has something of its own. Rockstar's main game page puts it as the darkest side of the sunniest place in America.

The parts Rockstar names

Four. Ocean Beach, with pastel art deco hotels and bright white sand. Little Cuba, described through its busy bakeries. The Tisha-Wocka flea market, summed up by its counterfeit brands. And the VC Port, called the cruise ship capital of the world.

Vice City is one city inside a larger state. Rockstar has named five more places: the Leonida Keys, the Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park.

What the official material shows

Rockstar's own captions for its Vice City stills describe a night skyline with a ferris wheel, a road where riders on dirt bikes and quad bikes perform tricks in traffic, a crowded beach beside a lifeguard stand, and a strip club with banknotes in the air.

Trailer 2, in May 2025, opens with the words Vice City, USA before introducing Jason and Lucia. Trailer 1, in December 2023, presented the state of Leonida with Vice City at its centre. Rockstar also published a longer video, An Extended Look, captured from PlayStation 5 gameplay.

What we do not know yet

Rockstar has not published a map, a scale, a district list, or how much of Vice City can be entered. No street plan, travel times or size comparison with Los Santos has come from Rockstar, and it has not confirmed that Leonida is one continuous map.

The named characters are Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, on the characters index. See also the countdown page and GTA 6 cheats.
