GTA 6 map: what Rockstar has shown so far
Rockstar Games has published no in-game map of Leonida, the state Grand Theft Auto VI is set in. This interactive map shows the six places Rockstar has named on our own stylised sketch, drawn from Florida's real, public domain outline rather than Rockstar's map, and becomes the full in-game map, with collectibles pinned as we verify them, after launch.
Updated 23 September 2026. The place facts were checked against Rockstar's site on 19 September 2026.
By Vicedex, an independent GTA 6 reference. How we check and report a mistake.
On 24 September 2026 Rockstar opened pre-orders for The Goodtime State: Vice City Collection, a merchandise box that ships on 19 November. One of its eleven items is a double-sided souvenir poster with a map of Leonida on the back. That printed poster is the only official map so far, and the product photo shows the map side only partly. Checked 27 September 2026.
How big the state is said to be is a separate question, with its own answer on GTA 6 map size.
The six places Rockstar has named
Each one has a short official description in the Places part of Only in Leonida on Rockstar's site. Five have a page here, built only from Rockstar's own words.
Vice City
The main city, where Rockstar names Ocean Beach, Little Cuba, the Tisha-Wocka flea market and the VC Port (Rockstar).
Leonida Keys
A tropical island chain with easy living on land and water Rockstar calls among the most dangerous in America (Rockstar).
Grassrivers
Wetlands and mangroves, where Rockstar says alligators are the famous attraction but not the most dangerous thing living there (Rockstar).
Port Gellhorn
A coast the tourists left, with closed attractions, empty strip malls and a new economy in their place (Rockstar).
Ambrosia
Inland and industrial, where a sugar refinery provides the jobs and a local biker gang provides the rest (Rockstar).
Mount Kalaga National Park
A national landmark on the northern border, with hunting, fishing and off-road trails (Rockstar). No page here yet: it is on the locations index.
The "full map" going round online
It is not from Rockstar. It traces to images a leaker posted on 18 August 2026, and Kotaku reported copies being taken down on the copyright owner's reports. We do not show it, and nothing on this map is taken from it or from any fan map. The detail is in our fact check.
What happens at launch
Three things change once the game is out.
- The in-game map replaces our sketch as the base of this map on launch day.
- Pins are added only once we have found and verified each one on a retail copy.
- Nothing is copied from other maps, whether fan maps or other guide sites.
Until then, this page shows only what Rockstar has named, on our own sketch rather than a guess at the game's map. The places themselves are described in more detail on the GTA 6 locations index.
