GTA 6 release date and every delay

Grand Theft Auto VI comes out on Thursday 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has moved the date twice, in May 2025 and November 2025, and has announced no change since.

Checked 3 October 2026. We update this page when Rockstar publishes more.

The date today

Rockstar's game page reads "Coming November 19, 2026" and lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The US PlayStation page gives the same date, and Take-Two's results release of 7 August 2026 lists the game for 19 November 2026 on both consoles. We read all three on 3 October 2026.

The date is a day, not a time. Rockstar has not published unlock times, and our release time page shows the expected pattern, labelled as expectation. The live clock is on the countdown page.

What Take-Two has said since

We found no new date statement from Rockstar since 6 November 2025. The three newest Newswire posts on its game page, dated 27 August, 17 September and 24 September 2026, cover gameplay footage, a soundtrack album and a merchandise box. The album's headline repeats "Coming November 19".

Take-Two, Rockstar's parent company, has spoken about the date on its earnings calls. Kotaku reported that on the day of Take-Two's results, 21 May 2026, chief executive Strauss Zelnick said: "I've been saying for some time that the release date is November 19." Video Games Chronicle reported on 22 May that Zelnick told Bloomberg the game was still planned for 19 November.

On 7 August 2026 Take-Two's quarterly results release said that, with "excitement around the November 19th launch of Grand Theft Auto VI", it was reiterating its fiscal 2027 net bookings outlook. That sentence is in the release itself.

What is not known
