The three official videos

Rockstar's own Grand Theft Auto VI page lists exactly these three videos. We checked the Newswire for any others and found none. Lengths and capture platforms below are given only where Rockstar or a named outlet has stated them.

Trailer 1, 4 December 2023

Rockstar had scheduled the first trailer for 5 December 2023, but unreleased footage leaked online the day before. Rockstar posted the finished trailer early rather than let the leak stand, as GamesRadar reported at the time in The GTA 6 trailer is here a day early, confirming a 2025 release. GamesRadar also measured the trailer's runtime at 91 seconds, in At 91 seconds, GTA 6's reveal trailer will be longer than GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2's.

Rockstar's own Newswire post for the trailer describes the game this way: it heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon soaked streets of Vice City and beyond, in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet. The trailer confirmed the title, the setting and a release window of 2025, which Rockstar later moved to 19 November 2026.

Trailer 2, 6 May 2025

Rockstar's Newswire post for Trailer 2 introduces the story in its own words. Jason and Lucia know the deck is stacked against them. When an easy score goes wrong, they end up on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, caught in a criminal conspiracy across the state of Leonida, and have to rely on each other to make it out alive. Our own pages on Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos cover the two leads, and our Vice City page covers the setting.

Rockstar has not published a runtime for Trailer 2. It has confirmed how it was made: GamesRadar reported that Rockstar stated the trailer was captured entirely in game from a PlayStation 5, made up of equal parts gameplay and cutscenes, in Rockstar says GTA 6 trailer 2 was "equal parts gameplay and cutscenes".

An Extended Look, 27 August 2026

An Extended Look premiered on Netflix on 27 August 2026 and reached Rockstar's YouTube channel and the Grand Theft Auto VI site at 9pm Eastern the same day, according to Rockstar's Newswire post. The same post says it was captured entirely in game on PlayStation 5. GamesRadar reported the runtime at 26 minutes in GTA 6: An Extended Look will be 26 minutes long and features gameplay captured on a PS5.

At about 26 minutes it is by far the longest of the three. Rockstar describes it as showcasing the biggest, most immersive evolution of the series yet. Our own GTA 6 map page tracks the locations Rockstar has confirmed, and our soundtrack page covers the music Rockstar has announced alongside it.

The official screenshots

Rockstar publishes official screenshots on its Grand Theft Auto VI page and on the character and location profiles at Only in Leonida. Rockstar has not published how many screenshots came with Trailer 2 or with Only in Leonida specifically, so we are not printing a count here. When Rockstar states one, we will add it.

Coming next: the Game Informer cover story

Game Informer has announced a Grand Theft Auto VI cover story for issue 382, readable digitally from 29 September 2026. Game Informer says it runs to 14 pages, is built on interviews with Rockstar's lead designers, and carries 12 screenshots not seen before, covering the weather, the wildlife and how Rockstar researched Florida. We add anything official from it here once it is out.

What we do not know yet

Rockstar has not announced a third trailer, a release date for one, or a runtime for Trailer 2. It has not said whether more videos are coming before launch on 19 November 2026. This page changes when Rockstar publishes more. The launch clock is on the countdown page.
